MEET PAULINE

Your Loctician Should Understand More Than Locs.

I'm Pauline Walker, Master Cosmetologist, loctician, educator, and trichology student with more than a decade of experience caring for locs.

Over the years, I've learned that some of the most important conversations in my chair don't begin with: "What style are we doing today?"

They begin with:

"Pauline, why is my hair thinning?"

"Why is my scalp doing this?"

"Is this amount of shedding normal?"

"Why does my hair feel different?"

"What can I do to keep my hair healthy?"

Those questions changed the way I approached my work.

I wanted to understand more than how to maintain beautiful locs. I wanted to better understand the biology behind the hair, the scalp beneath the locs, and the internal factors that can influence both.

That curiosity led me deeper into trichology, hair science, nutrition, scalp health, and whole-body wellness.

Today, I bring those worlds together at En Toi Beauty & Wellness.

You'll still receive beautiful, professional loc care.

But you'll also have someone paying attention to the things you may not know to look for.

Because I'm not interested in simply maintaining your locs. I want to help you understand and care for the hair and scalp underneath them.

Our philosophy

We don't chase symptoms.
We ask better questions.

Before we recommend anything, this is what we're working through.

Sometimes the answer is simple. Sometimes it isn't. Either way, you deserve more than a guess.

Our approach is rooted in observation, education, science, individualized care, and appropriate referral when necessary.

We want you to leave En Toi understanding your hair better than when you arrived.

HEALTHY HAIR IS A JOURNEY.

Your hair changes.

Your body changes.

Your lifestyle changes.

And the care you needed five years ago may not be the care you need today.

That's why we're committed to continuing to learn, assess, educate, and evolve alongside you.

Whether you're beginning your loc journey, maintaining mature locs, experiencing changes in your scalp or hair, or simply becoming more proactive about your wellness...

you don't have to figure it out alone.

Welcome to a different kind of loc-care experience.

Welcome to En Toi Beauty & Wellness.

Coming early spring

Start your loc journey informed.

After more than a decade of working with loc clients, I've seen how much easier the journey can be when you understand what you're committing to before you begin.

That's why I'm writing a new book designed specifically for people who are considering locs or are in the early stages of their loc journey.

You don't have to figure out your loc journey as you go.

Join the waitlist to be among the first to know when the book is released.

Starting locs is exciting, but it can also come with a lot of questions.

  • Which type of locs are right for me?
  • How many locs should I get?
  • What should I expect during the first year?
  • How do I choose the right loctician?
  • What's normal and what's actually a reason for concern?
  • How do I keep my scalp and hair healthy along the way?
